- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 4 large leeks finely chopped
- 1 large onion
- 1/3 pound lean ground Beef (make sure the beef is lean to avoid the pie becoming greasy)
- 1/3 pound lean ground Pork (you can also use lamb if need be)
- Salt and Pepper
- 3 eggs lightly beaten
- Phyllo or Yufka at room temperature.
Oven should be at 375 F. Pan should be around 18inches
Sauté the onions and leeks. Make sure you don't burn them. Add the meats with the appropriate seasoning of salt and pepper. After its done you should cool it for a while and then add the eggs.
Phyllo: Divide it into two equal parts approximately 22 inches in diameter. Fit into the pan with the edges hanging over the sides. Brush with oil. Spread the filling evenly. Take the other half of the Phyllo and cover the filling. Brush with oil and roll the phyllo. Allow about 50 minutes or so of cooking or when you see fit.
